If cosmos has its truth,
then what is your truth?

In his book, ‘Yoga and Vedic Astrology’ author of the 2 best-selling books Sam Geppi has shared insightful, deep and profound knowledge about yoga, Vedic astrology and how a study of these can help anyone in mastering their life vis-a-vis their mind. Here’s a short note on what the book is all about and how Vedic astrology can give you answers to questions about life.

‘Yoga and Vedic Astrology’ by, two best-selling books author, Sam Geppi is a perfect blend to help you know the deep secrets of life, these planets, their impacts, yoga and its gift to the world, and how to achieve spiritual healing.

This book explores yoga and the Vedic (Indian) principles. It elaborates on how to see the universal truths through Vedic astrology. An understanding of yoga and the Indian principles is essential to know Vedic astrology.

Cosmic interdependence and you

Imagine this: you’re right now walking, working, laughing, stressing, living, and perishing on a rock that is moving close to 70,000 miles per hour around a huge ball of fire. Now, there are different rocks around this fireball. All of them radiating a frequency and the fireball itself being a reason for life to exist. It’s a sweet, small family in the town called the Milky Way galaxy.

In this galaxy, the sun gives the power, but its power is inert if not for the moon. It’s orbit around the earth is what regulates the tides and maintains seismic activities of the earth. If it were not for the moon all the weather patterns would cease, things would stop growing and life on earth would cease. In fact, life on earth did not flourish until the moon reached the proper harmonic balance with the sun.

That’s cosmic interdependency. Everything in the universe exists on the principle of interdependence. It is also intricately interlinked.

Back on earth, things and people move and halt in accordance to this very cosmic interdependency. So every frequency and energy emitted in this town has an impact on its surroundings. It means that everything that happens on saturn and any formation of a constellation has a deep impact on your life.

Diversity in the universe

Additionally, there are many illusions around us and even with our place in the cosmos, which can be shattered by simple contemplation or observation. Take for example, right now you’re actually on a rock which is spinning at 1,000 mph at the equator and yet it is all happening with ease, in relative silence and stillness.

This amazing, cosmic equilibrium did not happen overnight. In fact, it took close to 4.5 billion years for life to evolve on Earth. Even though the solar system has been here for 4.5 billion years, archaic – modern humans have only inhabited earth for the last 100,000 years.

And from where did this come? God, some might say. Well, if there is any need to call anything god, it would certainly have to include the sun and the moon and the universe as main agents of the work on our planet. Vedic astrology texts are clear that the planets are the “visible form” of Lord Vishnu. Our bodies, minds, and spirits are the product of 4.5 billion years of love and dedication from the sun, moon and the other planets.

So, by this logic you are an intrinsic part of the planet, the cosmos, and yet you are not devoid of implications of any movement in the cosmos. However, there are other theories that the ancient texts offer, for example: karma, gunas, koshas, chakras. So what’s the correlation between all of this and you? If the cosmos has its truth, then what is your truth?

Importance of astrology and yoga

So the book not only talks about the core tenets of Indian / Yoga philosophy (called Samkya philosophy), but it also connects those teachings to the practice of Vedic astrology. This is accomplished by first analyzing the history of Indian literature (the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, etc.). This history is traced to the two main Yogic texts, The Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. Then those practices are woven together through the principles of Samkya philosophy (gunas, elements, kosha, chakras, karma). Only then are the essentials of Vedic astrology explored - planets, signs, houses, nakshatras, aspects, harmonic charts and more.

Yoga is the science of connecting the limited form to the unlimited spirit. It gives us practical tools in the moment, in form, to reawaken our divine nature. That body and awakening self was given to us by the agents of intelligence and love – the planets. We call this our karma. Astrology is the study of karma – the study of the living, divine universe that creates all beings and their experiences. This book will help you discover the interdependence between the planets, karma, astrology, yoga and its relation with you.
