The Art of Living founder, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar gave a strong response today from the Art of Living Center at Bad Antogast, Germany on the recent persecution of Dalits in Una, Gujarat. He said, “If untouchability and persecution on the Dalits keep on continuing then the nation cannot prosper. All the culprits involved must be given strict punishment.
“The Art of Living is with the Dalits of Una as well as with Dalits of the entire nation. The Art of Living has been working towards eradicating untouchability and caste based discrimination and now the span of the work will be increased.”
Gurudev further added that there is no place for caste-based differentiation in the Hindu religion and people who do the differentiation based on caste do not know the essence of Hinduism. Expressing sympathy towards the victims, Gurudev said that for an all-round development of the nation, it is necessary that all the citizens must develop a strong feeling of brotherhood.
