Gurudev appeals for
peace in Karnataka

Spiritual leader and humanitarian, Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, today, appealed for peace and called upon the people of Karnataka to desist from any destructive activities.

In response to the violence being caused by the bandh called by the BJP government, Gurudev, who is currently on a tour of Sri Lanka said, "If at all, one needs to protest, it should be peaceful and not by burning buses or damaging public property. Such protests are not going to help the Government.”

The bandh was called by the BJP government to protest the Governor’s sanction to prosecute Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
