Summer Camp Helps Children to De-stress After Exams

Alipurduar, West Bengal: The Art of Living organized a summer camp, which included nature study at 28 Basti, Buxa Road from April 10 to 13, in which 49 children participated. Students who had recently appeared for their board exams of class 10 and 12 were also keen participants. The four-day residential event imparted skills such as teamwork, camaraderie, power of delegation, and other complementing abilities.

Art of Living teachers Sri Ramkumar Lama and volunteers Sri Azad Bhusen, Puspa Thapa, Paspal Bhujel, Manjuri Munda and Sangam Lama divided the camp into three modules -- Social Leadership module, Nature Study module and Personal Development module. Children were taught to deal with stress by practicing Bhastrika Pranayama, yoga and meditation.

Ramkumar Lama said, “After exams, children want to play with their friends and spend their time in activities other than studies. The Art of Living summer camp is the right place where they learn to de-stress, with fun-filled activities.”
