Slow Down Your Aging Clock

Do you see yourself become wiser day by day, yet are slowly coming to terms with a body and mind that is aging? Aging does affect us physically and psychologically. Though we cannot reverse the molecular clock and our physical age, we can surely slow down aging. We can look and feel young by a few simple steps: regular exercise, a healthy diet and a simple practice of a 20-minute meditation every day. Meditation, really? How does meditation helps to reverse aging?

1

Better skin

While healthy food and exercise can’t be ruled out as ways to a younger looking skin, meditation plays an important role in maintaining good health of the skin. Meditation revitalizes our skin and relieves us from the stress we have been holding onto, consciously or not. Haven’t we noticed the dullness on your face when we are stressed? Take this awareness one step ahead with meditation and let your skin speak for you as you regularly meditate for a few minutes every day.

2

Better health

Isn’t good health about high stamina, a disease-free body, and a relaxed mind? Well, meditation can give you this if you promise to give meditation your time.

For a healthy body: Meditation helps release toxins from your body.

For a healthy mind: Meditation releases the pent-up emotions. You are better able to handle challenging situations when you start responding instead of reacting and don’t chew on unnecessary or wasteful thoughts.

Collectively, you distant yourself from negativity like stress, anxiety, and tension and take a step further towards healthy and happy living!

3

More energy

Meditation gives the body deep rest and energizes your system. This leaves you feeling refreshed and ready to take on the tasks you thought you couldn’t do. The mental clarity and peace you experience after meditation also go a long way in energizing you. The time you spend on worrying or feeling anxious is replaced with confidence and calm.

A good idea would be to combine your practice of the Sudarshan Kriya with meditation.

4

Enthusiasm

They say youth is the sign of enthusiasm. Forget growing older, a regular meditation routine will definitely make you feel younger, will slow aging. And possibly your friends and family will notice this before you do. How? With regular meditation comes more energy, clarity, and confidence. If something goes wrong, you will still find a way to make things work, be positive and enthusiastic.

Repetitive routine every day can be a dampener for your high spirits, but  meditation will help you approach things with a fresh mind. The cycle of boredom is easy to overcome. In fact, you will experience more creativity and innovation - possibly surpassing even those who are truly younger than you.

5

Young mind

We are depleted of ideas and creativity when we need them the most, i.e. at the peak of our career. It, therefore, should be a wise deal to start meditating early and reap its benefits throughout one’s life. When you meditate, you are not stuck in the history of failures, but welcome challenges with open arms. This way, when your mind is in tune with your goals, and there is a willingness to learn, then the efforts resulting from effortless meditation speak of success. Start meditating to delay aging process and be young forever.

And you thought meditation and aging could not go hand in hand. Age happily and gracefully, live fully and wisely.
