MS. SUSHMA RAJAGOPALAN

In 2003, she started work in Iraq, when there was war, there was no telephone, electricity nor airplanes. She travelled by car. She, then realized that with technology and the human touch, she could transform lives, they both go hand in hand. In Iraq there was no electricity for a long time, so they got some computers, then by the word of mouth, got some ladies and trained them to use computers using small generators.
Karima, a trainer of computers to Iraqi ladies: technology has really implanted creativity in the ladies so that we can reach our mission, succeed and make our livelihood. Women have a lot of strength and they are very powerful and have the 'nicer' heart of society.

Sound Bites

  • Creativity is not something isolated - when you talk to people you get more ideas.
  • You don't really need technology to search within yourself - that is one place where technology cannot reach and creativity starts by reaching inside yourself.
