She represents the youth women leaders. She chose to be a filmmaker for two reasons – as a film is a very powerful medium through which we can send powerful messages to the world; second, I she wanted to change the perception of Middle Eastern women, who are viewed as oppressed and who don't have a voice.
Her grandfather's struggle as a famous political activist was not known to the world, because the social media did not exist at that time. Very important women and people tried to send messages to the leaders to free him from prison but nothing was heard, as there was no medium to speak on. Now, people are being freed (from prison) because of Twitter and Facebook.
Each and everyone has a story to tell and all have the ability share that story even through your mobile phone.
